Edge Consultants are happy to welcome Marina Timmins on board. She has joined the team as our newest Energy and Sustainability Consultant.
Marina holds a Chemical & Process Engineering degree and has experience working on a range of sustainable and energy related projects. As a Project Manager at an Irish Utility Company, Marina worked on business case development for sustainable projects with the goal of future proofing the business. Through this work Marina came to realize she had a specific interest in what it meant to be “sustainable” in the built environment and decided to pursue this as a career path. Working as an Energy Coordinator in Vancouver’s Real Estate sector, Marina worked on Residential, Commercial & Hospitality projects throughout the building lifecycle- from design through to construction and operations. This experience enabled Marina to gain deeper understanding of building systems and their processes.
At Edge Consultants, Marina’s work is mainly focused on energy modelling & building performance analysis for various building types, as well as LEED certification projects. She works with integrated design teams to identify appropriate design strategies geared towards improving energy performance, indoor air quality, and thermal comfort throughout building project duration.
